Anse Du Riz beach
Ultimate guide (December 2024)
Anse Du Riz is the westernmost beach in
Mahe island, Seychelles. This is a wild, but very popular spot. There are many daily boat tours (€70 per person). It is also possible to get by car to
Cap Ternay point (coordinates -4.642437, 55.381193), and then walk about 1 km. However, the trip is worth it. The water is usually clear (depending on the wind), and it is rather scenic ashore. There is also a bungee in the creek, where you can swim in the fresh water. But the creek's depth is dependent on the current rains. Shore and seabed: sand, stones.

Hotels [edit]
There are no hotels near the beach of Anse Du Riz. Accommodation in a tent is also not recommended. First, it is prohibited in the Seychelles. Second, it is dangerous to spend night in the gorge, since you can be washed into the sea by heavy rain.
How to get there [edit]
Fly to
Seychelles international airport (SEZ). Next hire a taxi.
There are also cheap shuttle buses on the island with a lot of routes. Keep in mind, that often you have to change bus in the capital city of
Victoria to get from one side of the island to another.
When to go [edit]
It is good to travel to Seychelles any time of the year. The nature is more beautiful in the rainy season from October to April, while the dry season will give you more sunny days.
