Fort Walton Beach

Fort Walton is a beach in Okaloosa Island of Florida. As with all of the Emerald Coast there is a perfect white sand, but vegetation is poor. Near the bridge to Destin there is a remarkable sandbank, sometimes called Crab island. Shore and seabed: sand. [edit]

Fort Walton Beach has a great choice of hotels. The mainland is slightly cheaper, which is reasonable due to a significant distance from the open sea. It is not a problem when you have a car, as there is a great free parking near the beach.

Fly to Tampa airport or fly to Pensacola airport. Next hire a taxi or take a bus.

When to go [edit]

The best time for a beach holiday in the Emerald Coast is a warm summer half of the year.
