Grande Anse beach

Grande Anse is a small wild beach in the east of Rodrigues Island, Mauritius. The beach is beautiful with relatively comfortable swimming. However, strong waves are often possible. Road to the bay is pleasant. You may also walk further away to the south to find great hiking route. Shore and seabed: sand, pebbles. [edit]

Fly to Rodrigues airport (RRG). Next get by taxi to St. François village and walk about 10 minutes.

The best time for a beach holiday on Rodrigues island in Mauritius is the warm period from December to May. Since sea water is very cold rest of the year.
