Honeymoon Island

Honeymoon Island is a National Park on the west coast of Florida. The beaches are very different. There are good sandy areas, but many parts of the coast are suffering from all the sand has been washed away by erosion. Shore and seabed: sand, coral fossilization. [edit]

Hotels [edit]

The island has no hotels, nor camping sites. The nearest hotels are located just to the east - in the towns of Dunedin and Palm Harbor.

How to get there [edit]

Fly to Tampa International Airport (TPA). Next take a bus or hire a taxi to Dunedin town.

Honeymoon Island was connected with the mainland in 1964. The island has a huge parking, which can accept lots of cars.

When to go [edit]

Honeymoon Island is beautiful any time of the year. But the sea water is warmed enough only in the summer half of the year.
