Piriapolis beach

Piriapolis is a popular resort town in Uruguay. Unlike most of the country's beaches, it is a major town with big upscale resorts and great promenade. The beach is located in a large bay. Fly to Montevideo international airport (MVD). Next get by bus or hire a taxi.

When to go [edit]

The best time for a beach holiday in Uruguay are January and February. Since sea water is very cold the rest of the year.
