Playa del Nacional beach

Playa del Nacional is the west beach of Montevideo in Uruguay. Sea bottom is mostly rocky. While there are just a few trees on the shore. However, this is quite a decent wild (!) beach within a walking distance from Montevideo. It is a great option for those without a car. Shore and seabed: sand, stones. [edit]

The best time for a beach holiday in Uruguay are January and February. Since sea water is very cold the rest of the year.
