Playa Verde beach
  Ultimate guide (October 2025)
Playa Verde is a beach in the east of Montevideo, Uruguay. There are many trees and beautiful sand dunes. While there are no high-rise buildings. So the place doesn't feel like a city beach. The sand is pleasant - with smooth entry into the water. Unfortunately, sea water is somewhat green - not azure. However, it's quite typical for Uruguay. Lifeguard service is operating in summer. But there are no other "amenities" - like showers or changing rooms. Shore and seabed: sand.
