Tavira - is a long island near the mainland in the southern Portugal. Formally, there are several beaches (Barril, Terra Estreita), but in reality all the southern coast of the island is a one big beach of white sand. Camping Tavira is the only accommodation option directly on the island. If you prefer a comfortable room, there is an excellent choice of hotels on the mainland just near the island.
How to get there [edit]
Fly to Faro Airport (FAO). Next get to Tavira town by the regional train. Tavira island can be easily reached by the boat from Tavira town, as well as from some other villages located to the south.
