Ana Chaves beach

Ana Chaves is the northern beach of Sao Tome - the main city of Sao Tome island. The city center is located within a walking distance, so it is very convenient for tourists. The beach itself is good enough. There is a road nearby, but it's not a problem. There is also a colonial promenade. However, it is totally outdated. In the west end of the beach, there are trees with good shade, as well as a lot of fishing boats looking very scenic. Shore and seabed: sand, stones. [edit]

Hotels [edit]

Near Ana Chaves beach, there are several hotels with rooms' rates starting from US$40 per night. However, the cheapest options are just apartments. As for the real hotels, there are slightly more expensive, but not too much.

How to get there [edit]

Fly to Sao Tome international airport (TMS). Next hire a taxi. There is also public transport on the island, but the bus routes are not convenient for tourists in most cases.

When to go [edit]

The best time for a beach holiday in Sao Tome and Principe is a dry season from June to September. Unfortunately, sea water is relatively cold during this period.
