Boao Asia Bay Resort is one of the best hotels in Boao (from $50) with excellent kite school. There are also many other 4-5 stars resorts located nearby. This is the rare case when developers were clever enough to keep a small strip of coastal vegetation, not trying to build skyscrapers just near the water edge.

Fly to Haikou international airport (HAK) or fly to Sanya international airport (SYX). Next hire a taxi or take a bus.

When to go [edit]

The best time for a holiday in the Hainan Island is a warm summer half of the year. Winter season is also good, but sometimes it may be too cold. However, the period from May to October is a rainy season, which is also not very good.
