Cape Cross beach

Cape Cross is a beach on the Atlantic coast of Namibia, known for its huge colony of seals (Cape Cross Seal Reserve). The smell is terrible everywhere, but the view is worth to stay here for a while. There is a good boardwalk over the animals. You may also swim in the ocean a little further away, but Namibia may offer much more comfortable places for a beach holiday. Cape Cross Lodge is the only accomodation option near the beach. It is poorly presented in the international booking systems. So the best is to stay slightly to the south - in Henties Bay.

Fly to Windhoek International airport (WDH). Next get by the rented car or take a guided tour.

The best time for a beach holiday in Cape Cross is a warm period from January to April.
