Je Ta Kang beach

Je Ta Kang is a twin beach in the south-west of Koh Tao island, Thailand. Though the place is not the most beautiful, it's unusual and not spoiled by the mass tourism. Depending on the wind, you can choose northern or southern beach, - where the water is calm. There are many interesting trails around the hills, while sea water offers excellent snorkeling. Tao Thong Villa 1 & 2 is a hotel with rooms' rates starting from US$60 per night. If walk from the street, you can negotiate the price to US$20-30 depending on the season. It is a good price for a hotel located on an almost private beach.

How to get there [edit]

Fly to Bangkok international airport (BKK). Next get to Koh Tao by Lomprayah catamaran. Please note, that from Bangkok to Chumphon you will get by bus anyway. Then take a taxi to a small parking lot, and walk a little down the hill to the water.

When to go [edit]

The best time for a holiday on Je Ta Kang beaches in the island of Koh Tao is a dry season from December to September.
