Darkwood beach

Darkwood is a beach in the southwest of Antigua island. In the north end, there is a rocky bottom being great for snorkeling. If you move a little to the south, the bottom will become sandy. There are also few trees with good shade. In the south end, there is a great bar with rental of umbrellas and sunbeds. At the better times, this place was popular among cruise ship passengers. As for now, it is still very good here, but it's not so crowded like before. Shore and seabed: sand, stones. [edit]

Darkwood Beach Villas is a good guesthouse, which is located at some distance from the beach, - but still within a walking distance (10 minutes walk).

Fly to Antigua international airport (ANU). Next hire a taxi.

When to go [edit]

You can relax in Antigua any time of year. Summer is considered to be off-season due to the heat and hurricane season. But it's still a great time anyway.
