is a local island in South Ari atoll, Maldives. This is one of the best islands in the country, but not overcrowded yet. The island is very long with a perfect secluded beach in the south, ending with a gorgeous sandspit. Women can swim in a bikini, though not everywhere. It is one of the best places in the Maldives to dive with whale sharks, while the snorkeling on the house reef is also good. The island has cheap cafe, shops and few independent dive centers, giving great oportunities to reduce your expenses. In a theory, you can have a vacation comparable with Thailand by costs, getting the real Maldives in its best. Shore and seabed: sand. Find hotels in Dhigurah

Any comments or ideas are also appreciated:
Last years most local islands (including Dhigurah) were overdeleloped and spoilt by coastal trash. Now all beaches are crowded by tourists and by locals. A lot of new guesthouses are under construction. So it is best to look for special offers from private island resorts (room from $150 per night).
