The island has cheap cafe, shops and few independent dive centers, giving great oportunities to reduce your expenses. Nearby there is a large Maamigili island with the airport, however, you won't see and hear it from the northern beach. But this disadvantage makes significant discounts for this great Maldivian beach. In the west of the island, there is a beautiful sandspit popular for weddings. Unfortunately, fenced off Bikini beach is too tiny (20 meters long), - it would be great to extend it to the north. Coral bottom is more suitable for the snorkeling. Mahibadhoo is an inhabited island - the capital of South Ari atoll in the Maldives. Most tourists use it only as a transit point on the way from Male to a more secluded islands. Of course, the island is overdeveloped, but there is some kind of a beach on the east coast. Please note that the island has no bikini beach, so women should wear a pareo.
