Eli Creek

Eli Creek is a creek suitable for swimming in Fraser island. Moreover, it is the only place on the coast of 75 Mile Beach, where you can comfortably swim in fresh water. There is a pathway along all of the creek, as well as you can sunbathe on the beach in the estuary. Shore and seabed: sand. [edit]

Hotels [edit]

3 km south of the Eli Creek there is a Happy Valley point with an excellent eco lodge called Fraser Island Wilderness Retreat (room from US$120 per night). However, everything on the Fraser island is "eco".

Happy Valley has also slightly more expensive Sailfish on Fraser hotel with almost luxury rooms.

How to get there [edit]

Fly to Brisbane airport (BNE) or fly to Gold Coast airport (OOL). Next hire a taxi and follow by ferry. More details can be found in a Transportation section of Fraser's article.

The best time for a beach holiday on the Eli Creek in Fraser Island is a warm season from November to April.
