Lake Wabby

Wabby is a small lake near the east coast of Fraser Island in Australia. The high sand dune comes close to the water, thus creating a unique coastline. If slide down the dune on a board, you may get directly into the water (unfortunately, it is dangerous). This is one of the most unusual beaches in the world. Shore and seabed: sand. [edit]

Hotels [edit]

Eurong Beach Resort is the only good hotel close to the Lake Wabby. There is also well-equipped campsite close to the lake (cars and tents are allowed).

How to get there [edit]

Fly to Brisbane airport (BNE) or fly to Gold Coast airport (OOL). Next hire a taxi and follow by ferry. Read here for more details.

The best time for relaxing on the beach of Lake Wabby in Fraser Island is a warm season from November to April.
