Fonteblanda beach

Fonteblanda is a resort town by the sea in Tuscany. The town has rocky coast with good views, while to the south, there is a long sandy beach with a pine forest. Entry into the water is smooth, and sometimes even too shallow, thus being good only to the smaller children. The cheapest accommodation options (from US$50) can be found near the Talamone railway station. On the other hand, few upscale hotels a located a little to the south - near the ancient fort of Torre Talamonaccio. Rooms' fares can reach up to US$15,000 per night. Yes, 15K is a price to spend a night in that fort.

But most of the tourists stop further to the south - in the numerous campsites by the road running along the coast. The rooms are usually about US$100-200 per night. However, the conditions are very good.

Fly to Rome (airports of Fiumicino-FCO or Ciampino-CIA) or fly to Pisa international airport (PSA). Take a train to the station of Talamone, and next get by bus # 140 to the stop of Osa Mare.
