is a tiny island in the style of Robinson Crusoe, located in San Blas archipelago
of Panama. There are no hotels, but there is a kiosk selling food and water. Sometimes there is a lot of garbage, but it is a common problem for many uninhabited islands, - today ocean will bring some trash to the beach, but tomorrow it will be washed away. Shore and seabed: sand.
Isla Pelicano has no hotels, but in a theory it is possible to spend a night in a tent. There are also few guesthouses on the neighboring islands, located just in a swimming distance (don't try to swim across the ocean channels anyway).
How to get there
Fly to Panama City international airport (PTY)
. Next fly to the island of El Porvenir
, and get by boat to the island of Isla Pelicano.
A cheaper way of getting to San Blas islands is to get by the land to Puertos de Carti
, and then take a water taxi (30-40 minutes per way).
When to go
The best time for relaxing on the beach of Isla Pelicano island in San Blas is a dry season from December to April.
