Kollam beach
Ultimate guide (September 2025)
Kollam is the main beach of Kollam town, Kerala, India. It is also known as
Mahatma Gandhi Beach. West end of the beach has no waves due to breakwater, but suffers from underwater currents. While rest of the beach has strong waves. The best is not to swim here. So this is a rather mediocre "local" beach being suitable only for evening promenade. Shore and seabed: sand.
