Varkala beach
Ultimate guide (November 2025)
Varkala is a popular beach in the state of Kerala, India. High red cliffs line the shore. There are many cafes atop, as well as shops and different kinds of salons. So this place is almost the same as most of Northern Goa. Unfortunately, swimming is impossible most of time due to strong waves and dangerous currents. Moreover, everything is expensive by the Indian standards, and it's not quite safe here in the evening. Shore and seabed: sand, stones.
