Maldives, Lhaviyani, Kuredu island, beach
Kuredu is a great budget private island on Lhaviyani atoll, Maldives. This place is perfect for those looking for something cheaper, but not wishing to stay on a local island. There is everything, that we expect from Maldives - white sand, clear water, palms and sandspit. However, northern beach is bad, and, moreover, it is prohibited to swim there. Please also note, that the water is shallow everywhere near the coastline, while algae starts just a little further away. However, this is not a real problem. / read more » /

Maldives, Lhaviyani, Hurawalhi island, beach
Hurawalhi is an island resort in the Maldives (atoll of Lhaviyani). Both the beach, as well as snorkeling/diving in the coastal water are great. Entry into the water is comfortable, but there are occasional broken corals, - like everywhere else in the Maldives. The only downside is that the beachfront bungalows are located very close to each other. So this is not the best place, if you look for complete seclusion. / read more » /

Lhaviyani, Cocoon Maldives island, beach
Cocoon Maldives is an island in the atoll of Lhaviyani, Maldives. In general, the beaches are superb - with white sand, palms and clear water. But there are some downsides as well. First: Entry into the water is rocky almost everywhere, thus being very uncomfortable. Second: The home reef is located far from the island, so it is not possible to snorkel from the coastline. However, most Maldivian islands have similar problems, and these can hardly be considered to be very critical. / read more » /

Maldives, Lhaviyani, Komandoo island
Komandoo is a private island of Lhaviyani atoll in the Maldives. This is a great place focused on the honeymooners. The beach is beautiful and rather secluded. The only problem are breakwaters located along the entire perimeter of the island. They slightly spoil the view, and make a barrier for snorkellers on their way to the outer edge of the reef, - where the snorkeling is the best. The west coast is less preferable, as it has depressing view of the local Hinnavaru island. / read more » /

Maldives, Lhaviyani, Naifaru, public beach
Naifaru is an inhabited island located on the Maldivian atoll of Lhaviyani. Public beach is good enough, but bikinis are prohibited. There is also a home reef with good diving and snorkeling. Naifaru is one of the most busy islands in the country with a lot of shops and supermarkets. So this is rather a convenient entry point to explore many uninhabited islands around. / read more » /

Maldives, Lhaviyani, Kurendhoo island
Kurendhoo is a local island on Lhaviyani Atoll, Maldives. Cheapness is the only reason to spend a vacation here. As for the rest, everything is very bad. There is no bikini beach, as well as no any kind of beach to speak of. There is also no good snorkeling around the island. The dirt and garbage are everywhere, - on the shore, and at the sea. Locals offer excursions to the neighboring uninhabited islets, which have good beaches. However, if you take these trips every day, the whole journey will become quite expensive. / read more » /
