  Lily is the most popular beach in the 
Christmas Island of the Indian Ocean. It's a narrow strip of sand and pebbles in the surrounding rocks. The seabed is rocky with a small pools. The water is usually calm, but strong waves sometimes reach the shore. Shore and seabed: pebble, stones.

 Nearest to the beach hotels are located in the town of Flying Fish Cove - 4 km northwest of Lily beach. However, a straight way lays through the mountain, while the coastal road is at least 6 km.

When to go [edit]
 The best time for a beach holiday in the Australian Christmas Island is a dry season from July to October. But a beach holiday is not a strong feature of this island.
