Mawun beach

Mawun is a white sand beach on Lombok island, Indonesia. Despite the location in an enclosed bay, there are often strong waves. There are also underwater rocks at the left and at the right side of the bay, which can be dangerous for swimmers. However, this is a great place both for sunbathing, as well as for swimming. It is better to rent sunbeds with umbrellas, as there are not many trees ashore. But the main problem are active beach vendors, which can be very annoying. Mawun Raya Resort is a great four-star property with room's rates starting from US$150 per night. However, it is located quite far from the beach.

How to get there [edit]

Fly to Lombok international airport (LOP). Next take a taxi or hire a bike. There is no any public transportation to Mawun.

The best time to relax on Mawun beach is a dry period from April to October.
