Pelican Point beach
Ultimate guide (December 2025)
Pelican Point is a beach on the east side of
Grand Bahama island. This is a typical Bahamian beach - with white sand and almost without any shaded trees. Sandbanks are exposed during the low tide, so you'll have to walk a lot to the depth. There is a toilet, as well as restaurant
Pelicans by the Sea. There is a lot of algae in summer. Shore and seabed: sand.

When to go [edit]
The best time to travel to Grand Bahama island is a dry season in the winter half of the year. However, summer is good as well. Since sea water is much warmer, and there are no crowds of tourists.
