Port-Gentil beach

Port-Gentil is a popular beach resort destination in the northwest of Gabon. Please note, that no one swims in the open waters of Atlantic Ocean. All beachfront hotels are located in the bay of Baie du Cap Lopez. So the water is always calm without waves. There are many trees and palms ashore, while entry into the water is smooth. In town, rooms' rates start from US$40 per night. However, beach hotels are much more expensive being not presented on booking com. La Baie Des Coquillages is the most notable upscale property.

The best time for a beach holiday on the Atlantic coast of Gabon is a dry season from June to September.
