Praia dos Tamarindos beach

Praia dos Tamarindos is a public beach in the north of Sao Tome island. This is one of the best beaches in this district. There are many shaded trees, while entry into the water is smooth and usually without waves. The place is secluded during the weekdays. However, on weekends, many locals have BBQ here. How to get there [edit]

Fly to Sao Tome international airport (TMS). Next hire a taxi. There is also public transport on the island, but the bus routes are not convenient for tourists in most cases.

The best time for a beach holiday in Sao Tome and Principe is a dry season from June to September. Unfortunately, sea water is relatively cold during this period.
