Puerto Vargas beach

Puerto Vargas - beach in Cahuita national park in the Caribbean coast of Costa Rica. Keep in mind that there are two quite different beaches in park. First, you'll get to rather mediocre beach called Playa Blanca. Most people stay here and feel happy. However, we recommend not to be lazy and walk to a much more elegant Puerto Vargas beach, located in the south-eastern part of the park. Ask locals for direction. Shore and seabed: sand. [edit]

There are a huge number of hotels in the town of Cahuita, located near the National Park, - from cheap hostels to exclusive beach resorts. So you will easily find suitable accommodation even in high season.

How to get there [edit]

Fly to San Jose International Airport (SJO). Take a taxi or bus to Cahuita town.

When to go [edit]

Try to avoid the rainy seasons - from November to January and from May to August.
