San Silverio beach

San Silverio is the best beach in the west of Palmarola island in Italy. It is also known as Cala del Porto. The coast is beautiful and comfortable in all respects. There are trees with shadow and restaurants, while the sea is clear with good entry into the water. There is also notable rock, where the former Pope Silverius was killed in 537. There are no hotels in San Silverio. The nearest accommodation options are located on the neighboring island of Ponza.

How to get there [edit]

Fly to Rome airports of Fiumicino (FCO) or Ciampino (CIA). Take a train to Anzio, Terracina, Formia or to Naples, and next get to Ponza island by ferry or by hydrofoils / aliscafo.

Then take a boat to the island of Palmarola. San Silverio is the most popular place on the island, so almost all the boats come here.
