Tropea beach
  Ultimate guide (November 2025)
Tropea is a superb beach town in Calabria, Italy. Canonical view of peninsula with a castle can be seen from the coast, while high cliffs host the picturesque old buildings. So the Old Town is fine, but the beach is even better, - perhaps the best one in Europe. The sand is white and soft, while the water is perfectly clear, - just like in the Maldives. There is a rental of sunbeds, as well as free areas. The place becomes overcrowded in August, so it is better to choose July or September. Shore and seabed: sand.

Hotels [edit]
The hotels are cheap in Tropea - like everywhere else in the South Italy. A room of US$50 per night should be booked at least six months in advance. But you can easily find something suitable up to US$100 even a month before arrival. Of course, there are also options about US$1000+ per nigh, if you are ready to pay for it.

How to get there [edit]
