Wannsee beach

Wannsee is a lake with an excellent artificial beach located not far from Berlin, Germany. White sand is imported from the Baltic Sea, while shallow water is warmed to a comfortable temperature. There is also toilets, shower, cafe, playgrounds, beach volleyball, sunbeds/boats rental, pleasant promenade, and even a family naturist beach ("FKK"). You should be happy to pay 6 euros for the entrance ticket :) Sometimes there are too many people, but it's Ok for such an outstanding spot. Shore and seabed: sand. [edit]

Hotels [edit]

There are several hotels right next to the beach. Rooms' fares start from about US$80 per night. However, in most cases, it will be better to stay in Berlin.

How to get there [edit]

Fly to Tegel international airport (TXL) or fly to Schonefeld international airport (SXF). Next get by S-Bahn train (30 min) to Nikolassee station and walk 1 km to the beach. You may also get by car (40 minutes from the center of Berlin) or even by bike (2 hours).

When to go [edit]

The best time for a holiday on Wannsee beach is a warm season from July to August.
