Baia dos Elefantes beach
Ultimate guide (December 2024)
Baia dos Elefantes is a wild beach to the south of Benguela, Angola. This is a scenic and almost secluded spot. There are mountains around, while coastline is pretty nice and without strong waves (especially in the west end of the bay). Abandoned fishing factory adds its charm to this iconic place. Unfortunately, this idyll won't last forever. A major investor purchased the land and plans to develope everything with modern tourist infrastructure. We hope, that this will not happen very soon. Shore and seabed: sand.
