Bowen beach

Bowen is a little-known beach town in the northern Whitsunday coast of Australia. There are eight different beaches with the Horseshoe Bay being the best one. All of the beaches are almost empty, unlike some more famous beaches of the coast. Shore and seabed: sand, stones. [edit]

Hotels [edit]

There are just a few dozen of hotels in Bowen, but these are not very expensive and not overcrowded with tourists. Rose Bay Resort has the best beach. You may also easily find a campsite near the beach.

Fly to Whitsunday Coast Airport (PPP) of Proserpine town. Next hire a taxi or take a bus.

When to go [edit]

The best time for a beach holiday in Bowen is a dry season from June to December.
