Cala del Leone beach

Cala del Leone is a small beach in the rocks located to the south of Livorno in Tuscany. The place is picturesque, and the water is perfectly clear. As for the downsides, it is worth to note the crowd of locals during the weekends, lack of a shadow and a large amount of trash, that nobody ever cleans. Shore and seabed: pebbles, sand. [edit]

There are no hotels near the beach of Cala del Leone. The nearest hotels can be found just to the east - in Quercianella town.

How to get there [edit]

Fly to Pisa international airport (PSA). Take a train to the Central railway station of Pisa, and next take a train to Antignano. Then get by bus #102 to the stop of Castel Sonnino and walk down the gorge.

When to go [edit]

The best time for a beach holiday in Cala del Leone is a warm period in the summer half of the year.
