Kertasari beach

Kertasari is a beach on the west coast of Sumbawa island, Indonesia. Contrary to popular belief, there is no surfing here! Real surf spot is located not far away, but it's not in a walking distance. The beach itself is more suitable for swimming. There are many picturesque palms and trees ashore, while sea bottom is sandy in front of the hotel. Shore and seabed: sand. [edit]

Whales and Waves is an excellent 3-star hotel with rooms' rates starting from US$50 per night. Rooms are quite basic. But value for money is Ok. In any case, this is a real beachfront resort with good services.

The best time to relax on the beaches of Sumbawa island is a dry season from April to October.
