Punta de Palenque beach

Punta de Palenque is a beach to the east of Colon town in Panama. There are many palms. But unfortunately, trash is also can be seen along the coastline. Waves are usually strong enough. But in the east of the beach, there is an area between underwater rocks without waves. So this is a great place to swim and to sit in a cheap cafe. In the hotels of Punta de Palenque, rooms' rates start from US$50 per night. There are also decent options with pool. But all of these suffer from power outages. So it is often impossible to take a fresh water shower exactly when you need it.

Fly to the major Panama international airport (PTY, Tocumen) or fly to secondary Panama international airport (BLB, Balboa). Next take a taxi or get by bus.
