Riohacha beach

Riohacha is a popular beach resort destination in the northeast of Colombia. Many breakwaters create a comfortable swimming area, while there are many palms ashore. Unfortunately, palms are mostly located far from the water's edge. But there are also few coastal areas, where you don't have to walk long to the coastline. Sea water is usually muddy. Hotels [edit]

Riohacha has a great choice of hotels with rooms' fares ranging from US$20 to US$70 per night. There are no problems with budget options. But as for luxury beachfront resorts, it is hard to find something like that.

Fly to Riohacha international airport (RCH) or fly to Barranquilla international airport (BAQ). Next get by bus or take a taxi.

When to go [edit]

Feel free to relax any time of year in the northeast of Colombia. It has no pronounced rainy season, while sea water is always warm.
