Gurgusum beach

Gurgusum is a hotel beach on the Red Sea, - just in the northern suburbs of Massawa, Eritrea. The beach is bad - with muddy shallow water. There are several date palms ashore, but it's nothing like the real tropical paradise. Shore and seabed: sand. [edit]

Gurgusum Beach Resort is an old hotel that needs full renovation. However, you should understand, that all of the hotels in Eritrea are outdated, so you will have no choice anyway.

How to get there [edit]

Fly to Asmara international airport (ASM), and next take a taxi. There is also Massawa airport near Gurgussum beach, but it doesn't operate now.

When to go [edit]

Feel free to relax on the beaches of Eritrea any time of year. Sea water is always warm. As for the air temperature, everything depends on personal preferences. Someone feels that it's too hot in summer, while other person consider that it's rather cold in winter.
