Playa de Oro beach
Ultimate guide (October 2025)
Playa de Oro is a popular beach to the north of Cartagena, Colombia. The beach itself is relatively good – with smooth entry into the water and comfortable swimming. Unfortunately, whole coastline is lined with ugly cafes. Cafe owners are very aggressive, when calling new incoming tourists to their properties. So you will want to leave the beach immediately. Moreover, it's not safe here. You may be robbed during the daytime. And noboby will try to hepl you - neither other tourists, nor the police. Shore and seabed: sand.
